2016 was a GOOD YEAR!!!!

I have not posted for quite awhile.  But I am going to change all that . . . I had the one of the BEST years of my life last year.  I went on my dream trip to Norway and Germany, and saw loved ones again.  I also met new ones (from Germany).  I also had two new Grandbabies, Finn Andreas and Miles.

Since I retired in 2015 my life is totally my own doings now.  Since I have been so scheduled for 40 years I finally had all the time in the world.  It was an adjustment . .. but I brained- stormed to find things to do with my time.  It really was being new in town, because I was always in Salt Lake with my work and friends.  Park City was a place to explore now.  I tried everything. . . . volunteer at Park City Museum, volunteer at the Egyptian Theater, take long walks, explore places on my bicycle and join the Park City Singers.

For the first year I was quite busy, trying new things I have not been able to do.  I needed a bit of a schedule, after being on a schedule for 37+ years.  I finally got a part time job at Dress Barn, across the way, to bring me in a little more spending money and to be out there dealing with people (ladies).  I have always liked being around people.  Also, Tim and I love to go to California 3-4 times a year to see the Odlings . ..

Being a member of 3 Quilt Groups . . I enjoy the fun of wonderful women and the fulfillment of creating quilts and projects.  Sewing and quilting are my BEST FRIENDS!

For the last three years, the Blockheads (above) participated in the Festival of Trees and made a quilt to be auctioned off for the Primary Children's Hospital.  It made $1,100.00

Our Trip to Norway and Germany was a DREAM COME TRUE .. . Tim and I had the time of our LIFE ... more on that adventure later . .

#3 Grandson

ODLAND FAMILY!!

On November 7, 2016, Kristian and Tracy had another baby.  This made the third Odling in their cute family.  Miles Monroe was born in California.  Miles has a ton of  brown hair and weights 8 lbs. 1 oz.  He was born at 4:17 am.  What a gift from heaven.

 Ellie was so excited to be his BIG SISTER.  She couldn't keep her hands off him.

He has a lot of stuff he is ready to show and teach him . . . 

especially his Train Collection!!

Of course, I couldn't be happier . .

 I was so happy to be able to be one of the first to see him.

And then POPS . . . 

He was very proud,  another handsome Odland added to our family.

He was born in Salt Lake City at the LDS Hospital . .9 lbs. and 4 oz.and  22 inches long.

A BIG HEALTHY BOY!

He has quite the PERSONALITY . . ..

We all love him, as you can tell . .
