My Trips to Norway

Last year Tim and I were able to go on a trip of a lifetime.  Not only because of the scenery and beauty but also because of the Family members we haven't seen for many years.  

In July of 2016, Tim headed to Norway to see Family.  Tim's nephews and Nieces and their families live in Oslo, Tronheim and Arendal.  Karen and Leif live in Arendal.  I haven't been to Norway since 1999, when Tim's mom passed away.  It was in the middle of January that year and it was dark, cold and sad.  The times I have visited Norway in the past, 1975, 1977 and 1999, it was in the winter months, twice at Christmas,  and I didn't have any idea how BEAUTIFUL it is in the summer.

Annika is my Mother's nephew's daughter.  She stayed at our home in 1980 as an exchange student.

I was able to spend some time with her in Oslo on our 2016 trip.

 We also were able to be with her daughter, Miriam

In 1977 we lived in Norway for 6 months

We visited my relatives too.  Anne, who is my Mom's cousin, and Ove Jodal.  They had two sons.  Hans Christian and Bjorn.

We went to Norway, also when Bestemor passed away . . it was January 17, 1999.  It was a sad and emotional time.  Also it was cold and dark.  The days were short, sun rose about 9:00 am and set around 4:00 pm.

This is the church where Bestemor's funeral was.

  After the funeral the family were together and visit with each other.  It wasn't the same without Bestemore.
