COMIC CON April 2014

Last Spring we went to our 2nd Comic Con that was held in Salt Lake City.  My son, Tim had a booth there and we all dressed up to check out the event.  It was fun because my grandbabes lived close by so we could all go together. 

 

Ellie was pretty excited.  She got the program and headed out to see where all the action was.  Destination - Uncle Tim's Booth!

 

She was 'WONDER WOMAN"

 

Nicolas came too and he was the nortorious "BAT BABE"!!

 

 

Of Course, it was a chance for me to be "BAT GRANDMA"!!!!

 

 

She found one thing she was looking for . ..  her favorite car. 

 

 

"Let me just sit here for a minute . . before we look for UNCLE TIMMY . . ."

 

 

Nicolas is always a good sport. . . checking out all the interesting characters

and amazing exhibits, with his Papa.

 

 

I know . .the glasses are GOOFY,  but some times you gotta do what you gotta do.

It was hard to leave. . . we were having a great time.

Won't be long for the next Comic Con.

It is scheduled for September 4-7.

Treasure Boxes for my Grandkids

 

 

Things change in a hurry . . as of June, Ellie and Nicolas have moved back to California.  I am still in a bit of shock . . but to ease the change I decided to make them both some Treasure Boxes.  They are going to become my Favorite Pen Pals and they will have a special place to put their surprises in from Grandma B.  I made this one for Ellie.

 

Nicolas has a Chest, with a map inside, made by his Uncle Kyle.

 

One of their first surprises was a little photo book I made for each of them.  Each one had some special pictures of things they have done with POPS and Grandma B, while they were living in UTAH.  Many fun and wonderful memories.
