Another Birthday . . 39++++++++++++++++

My loving husband threw me a very fun party . . for my birthday.  He really wanted to make it fun and painless.  Here is the Invitation -

It was such a fun day . . . Good friends and family were there.  (I really missed Tracy and Ellie (in California) and Deb and Ray (in Oregon).

We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner and celebrating.  What a fun evening.

My sister Debbie and Ray sent me some beautiful flowers.

Maxine and Julie brought balloons. 

What a GREAT PARTY!!!!!

It Was A Good Ride While it Lasted

Back in 2002 I bought my Rave 4.  It has been my best friend for almost 11 years.  Being so dependable and very low maintenance I put 181,000 miles on it.  But, . . lately it has been showing its age.

I had to do some major repairs, including a clutch with ending up being $3,000.

On Saturday Tim and I decided, just for fun, to check out cars in SLC.

Before I knew it . .

I traded my Rave 4 in for a 2012 Passat.

I must have been inspired because I found just what I have been wanting.

Things happen to me when I least expect it. I am thrilled with my new car now. 

Now I have no worries about breaking down in "Parleys".

As my bestest friend said . . ."this is the car that I will be getting old in"

Whatever . .. I may have a late life crises and buy me a motorcycle,

after I get my TATTOO!!!

Bussin it . .

The Wheels of the Bus Go ROUND and ROUND. . . 

After a horrific snow storm last week I decided it was time to make a change.

After 21 years of driving down Parleys Canyon, I am taking a bus to work.  I can just kick back and read, Google, or what ever I want for 30 minutes and walk in my door of employment with a BIG SMILE on my face.
In the past I usually felt like I was running a race starting at 5:00 AM every morning.  

Back in the day, when I was young and vibrant, I lived in San Francisco for a while.
I took the bus and subway everyday to work. . .

So I have to admit . .

taking the bus (1972) years later, it makes me feel like a rascal again.

They do look a little different, but what can I say . . . . it was transportation.

Just kidding . ..

  I wasn't that much of a RASCAL.  

So, thank you very  much Park City,

for finally having a bus available to take me to work.    

Goodbye 2012 . . . Hello 2013

It has been quite a year, 2012.  Lots of things have happened.  Time sure flies. . . .I wish I could slow things down a bit.  My job will change huge in 2013.

My family has grown to almost double - 

 I have lost the 10 pounds that I have always wanted to get rid of.

That part was not easy . . that is for sure . . .

It is funny how life goes . . .things happen, you don't even expect . . . but I have to tell you . . . 

the things that have meant most to me are my FAMILY and FRIENDS . . .

They are what get you through it all!!!!
